The list of companies
included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones
STOXX Sustainability Index was published on September 6, 2007. The
latest review of the FTSE4Good index was also published on September
13, 2007. Veolia Environnement has been named for inclusion in these
indexes.
Launched in 1999 and 2001
respectively, the Dow Jones Sustainability indexes and the FTSE4Good
track companies’ sustainable development performance.
These rankings underscore
Veolia Environnement’s performance in its relations with stakeholders
and in particular in terms of human resources management and relations
with customers and local communities. Veolia Environnement‘s
environmental management system is another major reason for its
inclusion in these indexes.
