Paris, September 3, 2009. Veolia Transport has either won or renewed four contracts in France, worth a total of approximately €39 million in annual revenues.

Delegated public service contract for the Gard Departmental Council : Veolia Transport, as managing agent of the 4TDG consortium comprising 18 local partner firms, has been awarded the contract, to manage the Department’s sole delegated public passenger transport service. The delegated public service contract covers all scheduled routes and school bus services for the Gard Department. The 10-year contract, involving 450 vehicles, will generate annual revenues of 16 million for Veolia Transport.

Var Departmental Council and the Draguignan Conurbation Committee contract : Veolia Transport has renewed and extended its positions a provider of scheduled services in the Var, winning a contract from the Var Departmental Council to operate most of the Department’s school bus services. Also, the Draguignan Conurbation Board has contracted with Veolia Transport to operate a large proportion of the conurbation’s peri-urban routes. These contracts, covering 215 vehicles and generating annual revenues of €13.3 million, will run for 8 years for scheduled routes, and 3 years for the school bus services and peri-urban routes.

Hautes-Alpes Departmental Council contract : for the first time Veolia Transport, in a venture with the transport operator Resalp, has won its first contract with the Hautes-Alpes Departmental Council, to operate the scheduled service between Briançon and Serre-Chevalier, representing annual revenues of €800,000 over 5 years.

Aix-en-Provence District Committee contract : the 5-year contract for peri-urban routes serving the environs of Aix-en-Provence, involving 105 vehicles, has been renewed. Annual revenues have been significantly extended and will rise from €2.5 million to €8.5 million.

All of these contracts started up on September 1, 2009.
